The staff were friendly and courtious when you could find them. The rooms were excellent.

The hot water could have been steadier and the remote controls for the tv could be fully functional other than that perfect

the staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. Special thanks to Liza. the hotel appeared to be well respected locally because anyone we asked for directions, or happened to tell where we were staying, knew exactly how to get there and spoke postively about it.

lack of attention to detail eg in Room 2 the tv did not work and was not fixed or replaced and we were there 2 nights, also there were no water glasses until I asked for them, bathroom comestibles, tea bags and coffee sachets not replaced for our second day, brown sugar only until I asked for white, no hairdryer although there was one once upon a time as the diffuser was in the drawer.

        T he Breakfast

The only thing I liked was the breakfast.I Was the only guest staying here on a Saturday evening there wasnt any staff around after 10pm.Everybody had gone home I rang the bell for the night porter and there wasnt one there.I Wouldnt advise anybody to stay here.I Saw the man in charge next morning and he got quite excited when I told him my concerns.I Was promised a four poster room and ended up in a stable block!

Nice bar area, good food. Nice gardens

Rooms are converted stables, not what i expect for £110 Was told breakfast was 7am to 0930. Hotel was closed at 8am. unable to get breakfast which we paid for and had to wait 20minutes for a staff member to arrive before we could hand our keys in.

the staff are friendly and want to make their customers feel special. I had a confortable and enjoyable stay. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful but the biggest impact of my experience is the staff and their consistant can do attitude

the hotel seemed to be short staffed on the sunday and early monday morning for eg: when we arrived in the afternoon for a wedding it took approx 20 mins to be seen at reception to check inn as all the staff was dealing with guests wanting drinks at the bar. When i went for breakfast the following morning i ordered a full english however waited 30 mins to eat it and my toast was forgotten( my 1st impression was again short of staff, however the kind waitress appologised and was embarassed when dealing with my concern.)

        excellent location, lot of potential

old bathroom, not clean at all (also the terrrace and restaurant)civil weddings in a marquee in the small garden , lots of noice !! restaurant was closed upon arrival!

Unfortunately, there was nothing to commend this hotel apart from being given a bottle of mineral water after complaining there was none in the room.

The immediate impression on entering was of a gloomy, depressing area and a complete lack of information. We had been upgraded to the bridal suite but even this was far below the standard we would have expected for this price - the 'welcome' tray was spartan, there was no welcome pack, the curtains were draped over the floor and were a potential trip hazard, a small step down into the room was a trip hazard and, most importantly and completely illegal, there was no Fire Plan!! I could go on but you said no complaints!!

Staff friendly and helpful. Appreciative of hotel allowing dogs, which was reason for choosing this hotel from a limited number in the area that do.

Reviews warned it was a wedding venue - indeed loud disco music from marquee only a few hundred feet from room, which as located in courtyard next to marquee meant only room door between bed and marquee. Restaurant was closed on Saturday evening due to wedding, and hotel reception rooms full of wedding guests. Disco stopped 12-ish. Wasn't particularly disturbed by noise, lack of access to hotel or restaurant, but other guests may wish to bear this in mind if seeking to use hotel facilities on summer weekends.

It was a comfortable place to stay, that meet our location criteria reasonable well.

I felt the staff could have been more welcoming on checking in and our first morning ie explaining the routen for breakfast.

.We attended a wedding which was very well organised and very relaxed in a lovely setting. The marquee was a super venue for the reception. Our room was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast selection was poor and the service inadequate. Am not sure how to write about what I did't like for it not to sound like a complaint! Do feel that with a little effort the hotel could easily be brought up to standard and then it would be fantastic.

The Civil Ceromony we attended........ Lovely location for a wedding

The general clenliness was a bit shabby - lots of cobwebs around windows etc and the shower was broken in our room and had clearly been broken for some time - this day and age people expect showers not to have to take baths. The staff did offer to move us but at the time could not give us a like for like room. There were insufficient toilets (2 female ones only) so totally inapropriate for a large function as a wedding - thankfully we were stying over so were able to use our room. Lovely setting for a wedding however we couldn't hear the ceromony as the extractor fans drowned out the voices - microphones would be appropriate to boost the voices. Other than that we had a good time.

Solid clean hotel with good accommodation in the heart of the countryside, so quiet.

We came back from Deal early (9.30pm) expecting to have a drink at the hotel bar but was told by a woman (who informed us she was only was waiting staff for the wedding being held there) that the bar was closed. We couldn't find any permanent hotel staff to inform or serve us.
